Frequently asked questions

Does it hurt?

The micro-needling treatment takes place using a precise system. This allows the treatment depth to be adjusted to the client’s comfort and treatment goals. It can be a little uncomfortable in certain areas, however we will work with your skin and progress over time.

Pro Microneedling can be performed every 4 – 8 weeks. Establishing the skin’s tolerance and healing capability will determine the exact frequency of services. A course of 3 – 6 treatments is usually recommended for optimum results.

We use Dermalogica Pro Pen device to deliver clean and controlled perforation for best possible results.

You may experience some mild redness and irritation for 2-3 days after treatment, but this will subside quickly. This is a natural response! Results will be visible within 2 weeks.

Can’t I just use a ‘at home roller’ for the same effect?

At home derma roller needle/spike depths are more for product absorption, usually between 0.1mm – 0.3mm, not to create micro injuries that are made for skin re-modelling. In contrast professional microneedling tools range from 0.5-3mm that perforate the skin at deeper

levels and require advanced qualifications and training to deliver safe and effective treatment in a sterile environment.
